Toddler Community

Toddlers like other adults and children, want to participate fully in their society. In this age they begin to master the balance, coordination, and reasoning skills required to participate in real work.
A trained Montessori teacher, presents individual and group lessons, guiding each child’s progress individually. All furniture, sinks and toilets are made for the toddlers’ size. The classroom is set in a way that is attractive, and simple.
The Toddler Community contains several carefully prepared areas:
Practical Life Activities:
Care of Self: washing hands, washing dishes, dressing, preparing snacks, socialization skills and grace and courtesy lessons.
Care of Environment: arranging flowers, washing, polishing, dusting , sweeping, plant care and animal care.
-Large-motor activities (indoors and out): walking, climbing, running, jumping, balancing, climbing steps, and more
-Fine-motor skills: reaching, grasping, picking up objects, transferring objects, using tools and utensils, doing artwork
-Social skills: developing manners through interactions with peers, teachers, and adult-led small group games.
– Language Activities: reading stories, naming objects, describing actions, , discussing pictures, conversation, Nasheed, and singing.
– Math activities: counting, seriating, ordering, and sorting.
