All facets of our school’s education and practices are designed to show respect to the child.    and to fulfill children’s developmental  needs.  All of our teachers are trained by the American Montessori Association. Our classrooms have a full range of  all of the scientifically Montessori materials.

Yes, children at ECC  develop a great love for learning, focused and they develop an inner discipline. 

Yes, ECC  has a lunch program available. This lunch is available every school day, and is paid for separately. The lunches are all Halal and healthy.

Although Montessori is philosophically secular, it offers an infrastructure for education that is not only harmonious with, but is also clearly supportive of Islamic thought and teachings. Therefore, reconciling them together comes very naturally. Since, the Montessori principles and methods correlate with teachings in Islam,  then weaving them together into one harmonious whole is very practical.

Montessori education is a mixed-age, child-oriented, hands-on approach to education, first developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, starting in 1907. The education is non-departmentalized, and provides an opportunity for children to follow their interests and experience uninterrupted concentration. At  ECC  , we offer several “Montessori Education Nights for Parents” events throughout the school year. These evenings offer an opportunity for parents to learn about the Montessori method of teaching from our guest speakers, and teachers. 

Of course, one of the best ways to learn about Montessori education is to observe a classroom in action. We encourage  parents to visit the classrooms to see the dynamic, purposeful learning that takes place every day in an Islamic peaceful, respectful atmosphere.
