AlSalam Early Childhood Center began its humble beginning in the lower level of AlSalam Day School.
With the help of our generous community, the Foundation Office Of Greater St. Louis was able to buy a 8200 sq. foot building located on 1400 Wyncrest Dr. to meet the needs for children, 8 weeks- 6 years old.
The beautiful campus includes two playgrounds , and a children’s garden. The classrooms are open, inviting, well organized, and equipped with the full Montessori materials scientifically developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our children come from diverse backgrounds and share the beauty of their cultures with our school community. Our teachers have all completed a rigorous academic year of AMS (American Montessori Society) training. The partnership of parents, children and teachers creates an Islamic peaceful environment where children and families grow and flourish. Alsalam Early Childhood Center offers an authentic Islamic Montessori education that honors children’s unique individuality in mixed-age classrooms that are calm, peaceful and conducive to learning. Respect serves as a cornerstone in Islam and in Montessori. Respect for self and others, and foster a sense of community.
Vision
Children carry with them a solid of academic foundation, the love of Allah and his prophet Mohammed ( PBUH).== Children will be empowered to become model citizens and leaders committed to Islamic principles, life-long learning, and steadfast service to the local and global communities.
